About Volkswagen Taigun

2.1

The 2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift has been launched from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom) with sharper styling updates, highlighted by connected LED lighting and an illuminated logo, along with new colour options. It also gets a feature boost with a bigger digital cluster and added comfort tech, while retaining its turbo-petrol engines, now updated with a new 8-speed automatic transmission.

I would suggest the new Taigun based on your budget.

By AKRISHTon Jul 21, 2026

Consider the VW Taigun if you prefer German engineering.

By MANDEEP NEHRAon Jul 21, 2026

Taigun has better build quality than Elevate.

By Ranjanon Jul 21, 2026

I am an existing Taigun 1.5 DSG owner. Believe me, take the 1.5, it will bring a smile on your face. The 1 litre is just okay.

By Ramanon Jul 21, 2026

I also recommend new Taigun 1.0 AT if considering for long term.

By Arpit Narkhedeon Jul 21, 2026

According to my personal experience, the Taigun is good for such conditions. More efficiency is noticed and it has crisp control on turns.

By Gaurav Agarwalon Jul 21, 2026

The VW Taigun 1.0 TSI is a better made and roomier step up, offering a premium feel. It's worth considering if you can stretch the budget.

By Merwon Jul 21, 2026

I upgraded from a 2014 Honda Amaze to a 2026 VW Taigun GT Manual. I recommend taking a test drive of cars you like before deciding.

By Sanjithon Jul 21, 2026

I own the Taigun 1.0 AT. Over the years, my service costs have increased from 12K in the first year to 24K in the fourth year. The service interval for Volkswagen and Skoda is 15K kms or 1 year. Compared to Japanese cars, the maintenance cost per km is almost equal.

By Mrinalon Jul 21, 2026

The Taigun has a better suspension setup, making it suitable for both city and highway drives. It also offers minor stability improvements over the Skoda.

Punchy Drive, German Build

The 1.5L GT is a beast! I love how quick it feels on highways. The cabin is very premium, and the infotainment system is super slick. A bit tight for three at the back, but perfect for my daily drives.

Best Looking SUV Under 20L

The Taigun stands out in terms of design. The dual-tone roof and alloys turn heads. It drives better than my previous SUV and feels solid at high speeds. DSG feels a little jerky at times in traffic.

Great for City and Family

I bought the 1.0L automatic and it’s been smooth and reliable. Good fuel efficiency in the city, compact size makes it easy to park, and I love the sunroof. Boot space could have been better though.

Taigun- Good Or Best?

Another thing which I really liked is the premium look of the car. The cabin quality, seating comfort and overall fit finish is pretty decent for the segment. Some newer cars may offer more features but they still dont give that mature and solid feel this car gives. Mileage is also decent according to the performance it offers. Maintenance also isn...

The German Performance

The Volkswagen Taigun is a masterclass in driving dynamics. Its TSI engine delivers punchy performance, while the rock-solid build quality and German engineering offer unmatched confidence at high speeds. Inside, the cabin feels premium and tech-forward. A true enthusiast's SUV! So Superb.. Pretty Beautiful.

Taigun GT Plus Best Family Car

This is Good for family. It is also budget friendly. It has good style with blackened out alloy wheel. It is a stable car even at 130 speed. Electric sunroof is a special feature. It offers 13-14 mileage in city. It has ventilated front seats which is a massive hit feature. Compared to other cars this is best.
