Tata Sierra is a third class car with many defects. It has no pickup and my car broke down 5 days back. Even after keeping it at the service centre for more than 50 hours, they returned it with an incomplete solution.

Go for Sierra because of its reliability and road performance. The grip on road and control during unfortunate situations are awesome. They are almost competing with German cars. Only con is their fit and finish, which is improving in every iteration.

The Tata Sierra Diesel with turbo charger is recommended. Pure Plus and above models have this feature. Avoid the petrol manual version as it lacks power for hilly terrain.

Booked the Car on 17th Sep...on same day evening, Sales person was informed regarding L series which I was NOT told. Ideally, Showrrom should've informed while booking so that I could've taken an informed decision. I may CANCEL the booking as I felt cheated on the 1st day. Basic features like middle headrest in rear seat & armrest is NOT provided in lower models which is being offered by competitors. Mileage, Lag & Service complaint should be reviewed by Tata for building confidence among customers.

I have been using a Baleno for 10 years and when I sat in the Sierra, it felt like a significant upgrade. However, the front felt cluttered and not spacious. The rear space was good and comfortable compared to most cars in its segment. The car was good to drive with decent pick up, handling, and ride. However, when parked next to a Harrier EV, the Sierra looked small, which was a deal breaker for me.

For long runs, range is crucial. The 75kw empower is a better choice. AWD is just an attractive feature, practically RWD is sufficient. I think the EV version of the Sierra is better.
