A striking design, upmarket cabin and some segment-exclusive features define the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift. It also remains the only model in its segment to offer an expansive list of engine options, including petrol, diesel and CNG.

i suggest go with altroz diesel, its really fun to drive along with 25 plus mileage. within 2 years you easily recover the extra cost and it feels so amazing on high speeds. great car overall

4.6

The safest hatchback I’ve owned

I chose the Altroz mainly for its 5-star safety rating, and I’m glad I did. The car feels stable on highways and the handling is sharp. Interiors are spacious and comfortable, especially for long drives. The infotainment system is smooth and supports Android Auto well.

Balanced city car with bold looks

The Altroz turns heads with its design, and it’s very easy to drive in city conditions. I use the petrol manual variant, and while it’s not super punchy, it’s smooth for daily commutes. Rear seat comfort is excellent. Boot space is average but manageable.

Great package, but needs refinement

I bought the iTurbo variant and the power delivery is decent, but the engine could’ve been more refined. The cabin insulation is good, and the features are segment-best. However, I do miss an automatic variant in the diesel lineup.

Best for first-time buyers

As a first-time car buyer, the Altroz impressed me with its ride quality, feature list, and safety. It has everything I needed — touchscreen, reverse camera, climate control. Fuel economy is decent for city use. Tata's service has also been better than expected.

Great Family Hatchback

Using the naturally aspirated petrol in city traffic daily. Light steering makes parking easy, and the AC cooling is strong. Rear legroom is generous. Could use a few more tech features in lower trims, but overall very happy

Safe and Comfortable Ride

Has good build quality and ample space for driver and passenger; however, at the present time, no diesel engine offering exists, even though I have found that the Turbo Petrol does not use a great deal of fuel. The dashboard is simple and functional with everything you would need; also, an ideal daily use hatchback with a touch of luxury.

Surprisingly Composed Ride

The Altroz is very stable when driving on highways; it is reassuringly planted. The inside is laid out well for hatchbacks; the addition of a Turbo petrol engine provides an extra level of excitement. The interior has six airbags and therefore provides an additional level of safety. Suspension feels slightly harsh when driving over potholes or bumpy surfaces.

Practical and Easy to Drive

Very easy to live with, especially in city driving. Gear shifts are smooth, and visibility is good. Wish the base variants had more features, but still a dependable car.

Feature-Rich and Value for Money

Picked up a used Altroz and saved big compared to new. The feature set on top trims feels premium, and the ownership experience has been smooth. Smoke-free cabin even after long drives.

By Saraon Jul 21, 2026

The Altroz offers a sports car feel with a low seat. It has a stylish look and feel.

By Prashanthon Jul 21, 2026

The only option worth considering is the Tata Altroz Diesel. Nothing else compares.

By Subbuon Jul 21, 2026

Currently I'm using Tata Altroz XZ plus petrol and done 80000kms 4th year now.

By Rajeev Dhiron Jul 21, 2026

The Mahindra XEV9S with the 59kWh pack is best for both city and highways. It's a soundless, hassle-free drive as it's automatic. You save a lot on petrol and diesel, especially in traffic jams. I'm getting a mileage of around 400 kms range, keeping 10% in reserve for emergencies.

By Soumyakon Jul 21, 2026

we own both altroz and punch at home and altroz interior and quality of materials is way better. cabin noise and driving experience is far better in altroz too. for cool calm premium feel altroz is the one. city mileage around 10kmpl in hyderabad, highways at 100kmph gives 17kmpl. CNG highway gives 28 to 30 kmpkg. needs to be driven sensibly in cities but like a maniac on highways

By Nitinon Jul 21, 2026

altroz is a proper car, not a mini suv or something in between. drives like a real car and that is what makes it special in this segment

By Monica Khannaon Jul 21, 2026

i previously owned altroz DCT and the mileage was the main issue with it. apart from that decent car but fuel efficiency left a lot to be desired

By Vignesh Von Jul 21, 2026

bought altroz turbo variant in april 2021. after 1 year service team said engine has issues and needs replacement. even after replacement within warranty it still gave problems. when given for service in 2024 tata personnel said our turbo variant is not being sold now and newer engine is being developed. service centres are polite but not knowledgeable. every time a new problem would come up after service. please keep reliability and service in mind before purchasing tata

Stylish, Solid, and Practical

Recently purchased the turbo-petrol automatic model. Has provided a very balanced experience for me thus far; a comfortable ride, along with interior space and safety features give me peace of mind. Boot space is large enough to accommodate my weekend bag without issue. Gearbox operates smoothly, however, and does take longer than I expected to reach higher speeds while on highways.

Like New

The car is in excellent condition and feels completely new. It has been well maintained and drives like a brand-new car. Overall, my car is as good as new.

Proud Choice

This is a very good car. On highways, at a speed of around 90–100 km/h, it delivers a mileage of about 23 km/l. In city driving, the mileage is around 13–15 km/l, which is good for me. The car has a 5-star safety rating, and I feel proud of Tata Motors. The interior looks very cool, and even when I drive at speeds of around 130 km/h, I do not feel any body roll. Overall, it offers a confident and enjoyable driving experience.
