Wished it looked a bit better

I bought a petrol X1 a few months ago, and just after buying I realised there is a facelift coming some time in 2023. Apart from looking like a slightly old model of the X1, the car is perfect in every way. Just wish it looked as good as others in the segment.

Best car I've ever driven

Honestly, I don’t know why I am cutting half a point here. Maybe because it does not look as cool as a Volvo XC40. But except for that, this is the best car I have ever driven. The drive quality of a BMW is impeccable.

Good car except the eight-speed AT

I have a diesel X1 and it is fantastic. However, at times I find the eight-speed AT a bit boring. Now I wish I had opted for the seven-speed DCT. Should have been more fun. But otherwise, absolutely no complaints about the way the car handles.

Transmission is sluggish at time

It is a good car. Just that it looks like a car that was made in 2016. The engine is smooth, and the drive quality is satisfactory, but the diesel engine with its automatic transmission feels sluggish at times and makes you want more. The interiors are just basic for a car that costs over 40 lakhs.
