Great family car but slightly bulky for city

We chose the Hector as our family car because of its safety features and comfortable seating. It’s incredibly spacious, and the Level 2 ADAS features work well on highways. However, the car feels a bit big in tight city parking spaces. If you prioritize comfort and features over compactness, this is a great buy.

Feature-loaded SUV with premium comfort

I’ve been driving the MG Hector Sharp Diesel for over a year, and it continues to impress me with its smooth performance and spacious cabin. The panoramic sunroof, huge touchscreen, and ventilated seats make every drive feel luxurious. The diesel engine has great low-end torque, perfect for highway cruising. The only area where I’d like improvement is the boot space when using all seats.

While I love the big screen and the connected car features, I feel the infotainment system can lag sometimes. The petrol CVT is smooth but feels a bit underpowered on inclines with full load. That said, it’s still a great urban SUV with unmatched road presence. The interiors look and feel premium.

I regularly travel between cities, and the Hector has been an absolute delight. The diesel variant offers strong mid-range performance, and the seats are comfortable even on 6-8 hour drives. The cabin insulation is great, and the music system is top-notch. ADAS functions are smooth and non-intrusive. Easily one of the best SUVs in this price range.
